Xcel Girls Team

EGA's Xcel Team is a competitive program for girls who want to participate in competitive gymnastics without the extensive time commitment of the traditional Junior Olympic (JO) Competitive teams.

With fewer hours in the gym, our Xcel gymnasts are able to enjoy competitive gymnastics and other activities at the same time without having to choose one activity over another. Our Xcel Teams practices 2-5 days a week, but don’t get us wrong – our gymnasts set and achieve their goals!

Bronze Team: 6 hours per week
Silver Team: 6-9 hours per week
Gold Team: 9-12 hours per week
Platinum Team: 12-15 hours per week
Diamond Team: 12-15 hours per week

We are proud to announce A'mya Robinson (Xcel Gold Team) as our November Student of the Month!

Q: What is your favorite event?
A: "I love all 4 events, but if I had to choose one I would say Floor."

EGA will be CLOSED Wednesday, October 31st 3:30pm-9:00pm to allow our families and staff to enjoy the Halloween Festivities!

We are proud to announce Bronach Curry (Xcel Gold Team) as our June Student of the Month!

Bronach's favorite event is Beam because "It challenges me because the beam is only 4 inches wide which makes it much harder to land my skills. When I land those skills I feel excited and proud of myself!" Her favorite gymnastics skill is "a back-handspring on beam or a round-off back-handspring on floor". Bronach started gymnastics when she was 4 years old, doing cartwheels and handstand all the time. While over coming mind blocks can be challenging, Bronach still loves working hard and pushing herself to perfect her goals and working with Coach Kenzi to learn new and more challenging routines. To date, her biggest gymnastics accomplishment is "Going vertical on the floor and getting my round-off back-handspring back-tuck. I am also proud of placing 2nd overall at Regionals this year.". Not a lot of people know Bronach is a total beach girl... She likes surfing, collecting shells, walking on the beach, boogie boarding, snorkeling, and being out doors. When she is not at the gym... She's hanging out with her friends, going on many adventures, and reading books from The Land of Stories series!

Keep up the good work, Bronach!

EGA is closed Saturday, May 26th - Monday, May 28th in observance of Memorial Day. Recreational Classes, Team Practices, and Events are not held on Memorial weekend.

EGA's Teams made us immensely proud at their State Meets this past weekend! Please see below for Team Highlights:

We are proud to announce Megan Sporney (Xcel Gold Team) as our February Student of the Month!

Megan's favorite event is Beam because "It's fun to try to stay on, and I usually do good on it!" Her favorite gymnastics skill is "my round-off back-handspring back-tuck". Megan started gymnastics when she was only 3 years old. To date, her biggest gymnastics accomplishment is "Getting my round-off back-handspring back-tuck!". Although conditioning can be challenging, Megan enjoys "going really high when I do a skill! Megan's favorite book is the Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Not a lot of people know Megan likes to go rock climbing, and when she is not at the gym... She loves hanging out with her friends!

Keep up the good work, Megan!
