Ready to conquer the uneven bars? Join our specialized clinic focused on achieving two essential beginner bar skills: the Pullover and the Back Hip Circle!
This clinic is designed for athletes who are comfortable on the bar and ready to transition from basic holds to dynamic swinging and rotating skills. We’ll break down the technique, strength, and timing needed to master both the essential entry skill (the Pullover) and the basic circling skill (the Back Hip Circle).
What to Expect:
Pullover Progression: We’ll use various drills on the low and high bars to teach the timing and power needed to successfully get your body over the bar and into a Front Support. We’ll focus on the essential “pull and push” motion.
Back Hip Circle Mechanics: Learn the correct body shape, hand grip, and hip drive necessary for a clean, tight Back Hip Circle. Drills will focus on maintaining contact with the bar and controlling the rotation.
Grip & Swing Conditioning: Participants will work on grip strength, core engagement, and basic swing drills that lay the foundation for all future bar skills.
Spotting and Feedback: Our experienced coaches will provide focused, hands-on spotting and personalized tips to help you overcome sticking points and gain confidence on the high bar.

Pre-Requisites for this Clinic:
To ensure a safe and successful learning environment, students MUST be able to perform the following skills independently:
Hold a Front Support (on the high bar)
Cast with Hips Off the Bar
Note: This clinic focuses on the technical execution of the Pullover and Back Hip Circle. Mastery of these pre-requisite positions is necessary to safely and effectively progress through the clinic’s drills.
